Welcome to our live coverage of WWE NXT, announced for tonight’s show, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen will defend their NXT UK tag team championships against Gallus, Grayson Waller will debut “The Grayson Waller Effect” with special guest Apollo Crews, Tyler Bate will take on Von Wagner, and Tiffany Stratton will battle Wendy Choo in a Lights Out match.
– NXT kicks off with Bron Breakker, Tyler Bate then interrupts, Bate thanks Bron for the invitation, Bate says that he’s been in the ring with JD and he gives Bron mad respect for beating him last week, Bate says thar he’s the first and the last NXT UK champion, Bate says that he wants to kick off NXT Europe 2023 by unifying the titles, Bron then challenges Bate to a match in two weeks at Worlds Collide.
Match 1: NXT UK tag team championship: Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs (c) vs Gallus
– The match starts off with Briggs and Jensen landing a double shoulder tackle on Coffey, Wolfgang then locks in a headlock on Jensen, Jensen then fights out of the corner to tag in Briggs, Briggs and Jensen fight off Gallus as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Coffey lock Jensen in a headlock, Wolfgang then hits a running cannonball on a seated Jensen, Briggs then makes the hot tag, Briggs then lands a splash on Coffey, Lash Legend then comes out to brawl with Fallon Henley, Pretty Deadly then come out to brawl with Briggs and Jensen, Diamond Mine then attack Gallus as officials attempt to break the teams up.
Winners via countout: Gallus.
– Grayson Waller is in the ring to host the first episode of The Grayson Waller Effect, Waller says that this show is about him, not the guest, Waller says that Apollo is here in NXT to take opportunities away from others, Waller then introduces Apollo, Waller calls Apollo nothing more than a clout chaser, Waller says that everyone chases clout from him, Apollo says that he was born in NXT, Apollo says that he knew some would hate that and be very jealous just like Waller is, Waller then calls out Apollo on his fake Nigerian accent, Apollo says that he won the intercontinental championship at Wrestlemania, Grayson says that he’s going to run Apollo out of NXT, Apollo then calls Waller a low budget version of The Miz, Apollo then punches Waller.
Match 2: Javier Bernal vs Cameron Grimes
– The match starts off Bernal landing a series of strikes on Grimes, Bernal then chokes Grimes in the corner with his boot, Grimes then Bernal with a knee to the stomach, Grimes then hits the cave-in on Bernal to secure the pinfall victory.

Match 3: Blair Davenport vs Indi Hartwell
– The match starts off with both women locking up, Indi then takes Davenport down with a headlock takeover, Davenport then hits a dropkick on Indi off the apron, Davenport then hits a neckbreaker on Indi through the ropes, Indi then hits a closeline, followed by a spinebuster on Davenport, Davenport then hits Indi with a modified brainbuster to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Blair Davenport at 3:49.
– Blair Davenport says that she was the number one contender for the NXT UK women’s championship but the NXT women’s championship will do just fine, Mandy Rose then interrupts, Mandy says that everyone follows her lead, Mandy says that she’s the most dominant women’s champion, Mandy tells Blair to put some respect on her name, Meiko Satomura then interrupts, Meiko says that she’s the most dominant women’s champion, Mandy says there’s no better way to put respect on her name than to beat Meiko, Meiko then challenges Mandy to a match at Worlds Collide, Blair says that she’s the number one contender, Meiko declares it a triple threat match at Worlds Collide.
– Indi Hartwell says that she’s reached rock bottom and it’s her fault, Indi says that she’s in the same position she was in after Stand & Deliver, Dexter Lumis then appears from behind, Indi hugs and kisses him as the crowd cheers, Dexter leaves with Indi in his arms, Dexter then gives Indi a note before surrounding himself to the police.
Match 4: Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde vs The Dyad
– Wilde and Cruz take out The Dyad with tope suicidas, The Dyad then hit a doubleteam backbreaker on the outside, Dyad then hug Gacy, Cruz then hits an enziguri on Fowler, Joaquin then hits a tornado DDT on Fowler, Cruz and Wilde then hit a doubleteam suplex on Fowler, Reid then sends Joaquin into a codebreaker from Fowler to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: The Dyad at 5:02.
– We see in the parking lot that Santos Escobar picked up the rest of Legado Del Fantasma.
Match 5: Von Wagner vs Tyler Bate
– The match starts off with Bate locking Wagner in a headlock, Bate then hits two dropkicks on Wagner, followed by a series of punches in the corner, Wagner then hits a big boot on Bate, followed by a series of punches and a splash in the corner, Wagner then hits a fallaway slam on Bate, Bate then hits a dive over the top rope onto Wagner on the outside, Wagner then hits a closeline on Bate, Bate then hits a corkscrew from the top rope on Wagner to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Tyler Bate at 6:13.
Match 6: Lights Out match: Tiffany Stratton vs Wendy Choo
– The match starts off with both women exchanging a series of punches, Choo then hits a dropkick on Stratton, Choo then hits Stratton with a tennis racket and a trashcan, Choo then slams the tennis racket against the dumpster on Stratton, Stratton then hits Choo in the stomach with a toolbox, Choo then hits a belly-to-belly suplex on Stratton, Stratton then slams Choo face first into a trashcan inbetween the turnbuckles, Stratton then throws Choo into the steel steps as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Stratton hit a powerslam on Choo, Stratton then goes for a moonsault but Choo moves out of the way, Choo then hits a brainbuster on Stratton on a steel chair, Stratton then hits Choo in the stomach with the trashcan, Stratton then powerbombs Choo on top of a trashcan, Choo then hits Stratton with a pillow filled with legos, Choo then pours more legos out of a bag, Stratton then hits a fallaway slam on Choo, Stratton then suplexes Choo into the legos, Choo then kicks makeup powder into the face of Stratton, Choo then hits a rock bottom on Stratton through the bed, Choo then hits a splash from the top rope to secure the pinfall victory.
