Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, which is emanating from The Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Announced for tonight’s show, Natalya will team up with Sonya Deville to take on the teams of Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H., Xia Li and Shotzi, and Dana Brooke and Tamina in a fatal four way last chance match to qualify for the WWE women’s tag team championship tournament, The New Day will make their returns to Smackdown, Happy Corbin will take on Ricochet, and Drew McIntyre will take on Sami Zayn.
Match 1: Ricochet vs Happy Corbin
– The match starts off with Ricochet hitting a tilt-a-whirl headscissiors on Corbin, Ricochet them hits a dropkick on Corbin, Corbin then hits a chop to the chest of Ricochet, Ricochet then hits a corkscrew from the second rope onto Corbin on the outside as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Corbin slam Ricochet down back first on top of the announce table, Corbin then throws Ricochet into the barricade, Corbin then sends Ricochet face first into the top turnbuckle, Corbin then throws Ricochet into the ringpost back first, Ricochet then hits a tilt-a-whirl DDT, Ricochet then hits a hurricarana on Corbin, Corbin then hits the deep six on Ricochet to secure a nearfall, Ricochet then hits a shooting star press on Corbin to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Ricochet at 12:19.
– We get a video package highlighting the career of Drew McIntyre.
– Karrion Kross and Scarlett appear on screen, Kross says that at any point he can put his fist through Drew’s skull and crush his dreams.
Match 2: Shotzi and Xia Li vs Dana Brooke and Tamina vs Natalya and Sonya Deville vs Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H.
– The match starts off with Tamina hitting a superkick on Natalya, Nikki then hits a swinging neckbreaker on Dana, Shotzi then hits a sliced bread off the shoulders of Xia on Tamina, Natalya then hits a superplex on Nikki A.S.H. to the outside, taking everyone out, Sonya then immediately pins Nikki to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: Natalya and Sonya Deville at 3:09.
– The Brawling Brutes make their entrance, Sheamus says that next week they will be starting fights and drinking pints, Sheamus says that he will be the first ultimate grand slam champion, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser then interrupt, Sheamus says that he doesn’t care what Kaiser has to say, Sheamus says that his beef is with Gunther, Sheamus says that he’s the real ring general, Sheamus says that he’s beaten Drew, Orton, Cena, Roman, and Triple H,
