Welcome to our live coverage of AEW Dynamite, which is emanating from The Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Announced for tonight’s show, Bryan Danielson will take on Jake Hager with Chris Jericho on commentary, Toni Storm will team up with Hikaru Shida to take on the team of Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, United Empire will take on The Elite in an AEW trios tag team championship tournament match, and we will hear from the AEW Undisputed world champion, Jon Moxley.
– Jon Moxley makes his entrance, Moxley says that they are still mopping up Punk from the mat in Cleveland, Moxley says that he had 57 minutes left in him last week but Punk didn’t, Moxely says that Punk hit him with his best shots but he kept coming forward, Moxley says thar Punk folded into a ball to die, Moxley says that champions never fold, Moxley says that he’s sorry that Punk didn’t turn out what anyone wanted him to be in AEW, Moxley says thar Punk has a week mind and spirit, Moxley then presents an open contract for a championship match at All Out, Moxley says that he’s the living embodiment of wrestling, Moxley then leaves through the crowd, Ace Steele then comes out to pick up the contract.
– Daniel Garcia chooses to stay with The Jericho Appreciation Society, Garcia says that Jericho will beat Danielson on Sunday.

Match 1: Bryan Danielson vs Jake Hager
– The match starts off with Bryan kicking at Hager’s leg, Hager then punches away at Bryan’s stomach in the corner, Hager then throws Bryan by his head, Bryan then locks Hager in a standing chokehold, Bryan then hits a tope suicida on Hager, Hager then slams Bryan through the timekeeper’s table, Hager then slams Bryan back first into the ringpost, followed by a snap suplex on the outside, Hager then lands a series of forearms to the head of Bryan, Hager then hits a slam on Bryan as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Hager slap Bryan on the top rope, Hager then lands a series of punches onto Bryan, Bryan then hits a shotgun dropkick from the top rope onto Hager, Bryan then kicks away at the chest of Hager, Bryan then lands a series of elbow strikes to the side of Hager’s head, Hager then hits a powerbomb on Bryan, followed by a series of hammerfists, Bryan then locks Hager in the yes lock but Hager is able to reach the bottom rope, Bryan then lands a series of kicks and chops to the chest of Hager, Bryan then hits the running knee to the face of Hager to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Bryan Danielson at 10:43.
– After the match, The Jericho Appreciation Society attack Bryan, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli then come out to make the save, Jericho then tries to hit Bryan with a steel chair but Daniel Garcia takes the chair away from him, Bryan then hits the running knee on Jericho.
